03/09/13 - Bought a water pressure gauge (home depot), hooked it up for about a minute, it read 90psi
03/18/13 - Bought a 2-gal expansion tank (lowe's)...instructions said i need the 5-gal tank!
03/19/13 - Exchanged the 2-gal tank for a 5-gal tank
04/02/13 - Mounted one of the angle brackets...didn't go as smoothly as i planned (drilled my pilot hole in the "wrong" location), broke a screw, so had to put off putting the other bracket up
04/03/13 - Got more (and shorter) screws at ACE...put the other bracket up
04/13/13 - Mounted one of the straps yesterday, then realized my female tank end fitting was the wrong size (home depot)and that i only had half the hardware i needed (ace)..., plus i needed to get a metal jigsaw blade (ace) and a mini tubing cutter (home depot). Put the 2nd strap up LATER that night
04/14/13 - Sweated the tank-to-shut-off valve adapter...
04/15/13 - Don't think I'm gonna use the tank-to-shut-off valve adapter...the guy's pic i'm working off, i think he needed it to provide clearance for the shut-off handle to swing up and down...in the design of my valve, i won't need this clearance! less places for leaks to present themselves!...Measured and cut the tubes, loosely test fit...should be ready to solder tomorrow.
04/16/13 - Soldered the branch line...nervous...that's as far as i got...plan is/was to finish the job friday, so in case it leaks, i can get parts saturday morning
04/17/13 - Revised plan is to do it NEXT friday, i'll be home that day so i can take my time and have more time to correct any mistakes!
04/27/13 - Neither of the big box stores had the T&P valve i wanted in stock, so i ordered it online when i got back home
05/02/13 - New T&P valve arrived
05/26/13 - Installed the T&P valve...so far, so good!
