On 12 Apr 1823 (Reg 5 May 1834) Isaac Laing willed to his wife Hannah and to his two nieces Hannah Laing and Margaret T Birdsall all his landed estate in Humberstone in the manner therein mentioned. He appointed his wife Hannah and Isaac William and Abraham Laing Executors (A271 #9672)

On 13 Apr 1829 (Reg 21 May 1831) Asa Schooley and Hannah his wife who is said to have come into possession of said lands under the will of Isaac Laing, sold to Salome Sherk 82-½ acres in the east part of Lot 2 and part of the rear part Lot 3 Humberstone Twp. for £207.10 (A176 #8233)

On 23 Jun 1834 (Reg 15 Dec 1836) Daniel Birdsall et ux, brother and heir at law of Margaret E Birdsall deceased certificates before the magistrates to the effect that Hannah Beckett formerly the wife of Isaac Laing deceased barred her dower and is said to be endorsed on the deed [……] to the same effect as to the wife of D Birdsall for £250 (A384 #11245)
