Officers: Term of Service.

These are changes proposed in 2019 for ARTICLE IV. Officers. Section 2. Term of Service.

Currently reads:

The officers shall serve for two years or until their successors are elected. Their terms of office shall begin at the close of the annual meeting at which they are elected by and from, out of the Executive Committee. The immediate past Chair of the Board shall serve as an ex-officio member of the Executive Committee for a two-year term. Officers may succeed themselves.

Proposed changing to:

The officers shall serve for two years or until their successors are elected. Their terms of office shall begin at the close of the annual meeting at which they are elected by and from, out of the Executive Committee. Any voting member can serve as an officer. Any officer that is not also part of the Executive Committee should be encouraged to participate on that committee ex-officio. The immediate past Chair of the Board shall serve as an ex-officio member of the Executive Committee for a two-year term. Officers may succeed themselves.
