For members that may be interested in bio-geography Kathleen King presented a poster at the recent Orthopterist Society meeting in Mexico about the huge database on grasshopper species and their distribution in Wyoming. On a less serious note Prof. Johnson has completed a field guide, or actually a grille guide (automobile grille not cooking grill) to grasshoppers. If you got your spouse a copy of that best seller "That Gunk on Your Car: A Unique Guide to the Insects of North America" for Christmas, then a printed and framed copy of Dan's poster will be a hit for Valentine's Day!
