Prof. Robert Nicolas and Mr. Nadeem Akbar Director American Institute of Pakistan Studies Islamabad visited AWKUM on 23rd May, 2009 and discussed the possibilities of co-operation in the field of education and culture between Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan and Universities of United States of America.

The delegation appreciated the efforts put into the making of AWKUM and expressed hope and confidence that due the strategic location this university will become the most prominent University of Pakistan in the near future.

The delegation also assured the Vice Chancellor that they will arrange latest books published in United States of America for the staff and the students of AWKUM.
