What Our New Owners Say About Our Kittens
When you buy a Neskarex kitten we appreciate it if you keep in touch and let us know how our kitten is getting on. We have received some lovely emails and letters over the years and often get Christmas cards form our kittens which we love! Some of the lovely things people say about our kittens brings a tear to my eye... it so nice to have been able to touch other peoples lives in such a positive way and to know that my babies are so well loved and cared for!! x
Below is a selection of the messages we have been fortunate enough to receive from the new families of Neskarex kittens.
********************
You definitely have a great reputation no wonder your kittens are so sought after. Both the boys are simply thriving! X
********************
You breed wonderful cats, yours are best of all the Devons we have had.

Ellie is so much fun and like my shadow about the house and she continues to be real character. Will keep sending the odd photos now and then and I enjoy looking at the ones of her young relations etc on your website (Ellie too was looking, with her face about two inches from the screen!) Needless to say she is here with me as I write this, and usually I get a "contribution" from her as she steps on the keyboard but she is being quite good today!!
********************
I hope you are well? Little Memetto is gorgeous, such a sweet kittie!!!

Little Mischa is fine, she went to the vet and had her first check and registration with everyone cooing over her - she loves the attention! Of all the Devon's I've owned she has the loudest purr and I think she's probably the most mischievous!! What a gorgeous little kitten she is, couldn't have asked for better!

Thanks for the GCCF registration slip - it arrived today.

Thought I would drop you a little line to let you know how Frodo and Luna are getting on, they were at the vets yesterday to get spayed and neutered and I was worried about them all day, Neal picked them up and I left work early to go home and get the house all nice and warm for them as the vet warned that they would be a little bit miserable and quiet ... well I think they must have been to the cat pampering spa drinking red bull and eating pro plus as they were going crazy - no change what so ever! So all in all they don’t seem to be bothered by anything at all - they are very robust!

The journey home was really good. Zumer was a bit agitated at first, but I sat in the back next to her carrier and managed to calm her, and then she was good as gold for the rest of the journey. No poo, wee or sick!
We got her home and took her straight into the room which will be hers, with all she needs, and we sat in there for 2 hrs or so while she explored. She seemed interested and not too shy. Later we introduced her to the hall and kitchen, and later the lounge, and by about 9pm she was climbing all over us as we watched tv.
Today we've had lots of hugs and games.
Everything is going really well. We are both smitten with her and she seems to have taken to us too!
Zumer is very well behaved - no problems at all so far. I have given her lots of love and so has Graham, and she seems to trust us. She must have been brought up really well at your home! :)
Thank you so much for everything! I will email with more news soon, but thought you'd be keen to hear all is well so far!
Best, Debbie (Graham and Zumer)

Just to let you know that Bella, is doing really well. She is absolutely not interested in the bed we got her, preferring Matthew’s bed!! She slept really well last night, Matthew hardly slept at all, worried about her all night, but she just slept peacefully through. She was really good in the car. She seems really happy and settled and has won everyone over
We love her and thank you for letting us have her.

Hi Vanessa,
A month to go and Ellie ( Mekara ) will be a year old!! She is very happy and very healthy and enjoying life. ........ I have just been wondering if a little sister to play with and mother would be a nice thing???
Kind wishes, Sue

Ira is so sweet , a lovely affectionate girl – thank you

Just to let you know that we all got back ok yesterday. Since then, I don't think she's stopped purring! It didn't take long for her to set about exploring. She's made us laugh with the antics she's been getting up to. She's eating well, and doesn't let the others bother her.

Dear Vanessa
It's been a while so, I thought I would let you know our beautiful baby cats are getting on. They have settled into a routine of eating, sleeping, running around like lunatics, sleeping, stalking each other around the house, sleeping, attacking each other, sleeping and so on..... They are such little characters and so different and I love them both. Mouse is definitely the bolder one, always the first to greet visitors and to get into any trouble that is going, including turning the tap on and flooding the kitchen! Toilet rolls are also not safe if he is around. LuLu talks to me all the time and loves to carry her toy mice about and leave them as little presents for me all over the house. I am glad she is not an outdoor cat, as I am not so sure I would be as keen on the real thing! Best of all they love each other and this makes me so glad we decided to get two instead of one. They are such good company for each other and they love curling up together. I have attached some photos, so you can see how gorgeous they are. I also wanted to let you know that they have both now been spayed/neutered and chipped, so there won't be any unplanned additions here :-)
Best Wishes
Kirstie

Just thought we’d let you know that we all made it back to Bristol and Marbles is settling in well, in fact she’s trying to help me write this email!
********************
We are delighted with her and will keep in touch, you are welcome to call in anytime see how she is progressing. She is quiet at the moment in the bed with Oz which is surprising as there is not much room when he stretches out.
********************
Well you will be pleased to know she has settled in brilliantly and I am really relieved we have a very happy household. My children are absolutely mad about her and there is never a shortage of cuddles, she distributes her affection very fairly so none of us feel left out!
********************
Hi Vanessa
The cats are really spoilt, but like I've said before we are the privileged ones to have them in our lives. Love each and every one very much and they all have their individual personalities :) I'm starting to think that I need a larger bed than king-size to accommodate all of them at night but I still wait to win the lottery and then I will get my dream of a cat sanctuary where no cat is rehomed because I couldn't guarantee that they would be loved as much as mine. All of mine are neutered, microchipped and insured even though they are all indoor cats
Best wishes
Debs
Ps so glad you like the ongoing photos of the boys as I love sending them to show you how well they are doing x
********************
I am absolutely amazed how confident and relaxed she is right from the start, its as if she already knows us and just walked in and felt right at home straight away. You must have been a great Mum to her for a kitten to be so confident and content, thank you so much. I have not been in contact with many kittens, but the ones I have been nothing like her she is certainly one in a million.
********************
Hi Vanessa,
Just thought I would write to say that the Checkie continues to be the
greatest joy in our lives. We love him very dearly.
Needless to say, he is completely spoilt.
Meeting up with you was one of the better things I have done in my life.
You cannot imagine how much true happiness that little creature brings into
our lives - so thank-you for that.
John
********************
Just to say back home safe. Knackered but happy – Badbet’s a gorgeous kitten so big thanks again. She doesn’t know she should be knackered like me and has been exploring and playing with the other cats already.
********************
Willow has been with us for over a year now and we love her to bits. My husband is as besotted with her as I am.
********************
I do not know how we can ever thank you enough for such a fantastic little chap. It’s such a shame he didn’t have a spare brother or sister who could have come home with him but I would rather wait and get him a friend from you than go anywhere else. I can’t wait to collect Arriss in three weeks time – the whole family is so excited x
********************
Hi Vanessa,
Yes of course, feel free to use any of the videos.
He has grown in to a lovely cat - I can't believe he's nearly 1 year old!
There are a number of other videos here http://www.youtube.com/user/worldofpat
The video of him in the snow and the ones in the new sink, washing his paws or helping with the dishes are particularly good.
Best wishes,
Martin

The girls have settled in really well, its been three weeks now since we brought them home and right from day one they have owned the place!! They are so confident and friendly it is obvious they have been given a really good start in life. Thank you so much for choosing us from your waiting list to be the proud new servants to your kitties.

Hello Vanessa,
Jigsaw AKA Cleo is great. She gets on well with everybody and she is a bit of a nutter. Devons are quite mad eh!! Hope all is well with you. Please stay in touch.
All the best
Debbie

Just to let you know that Puzzle has settled in extremely well. We have had no problems at all and he is a little angel. You've done a fantastic job of socialising him and it really shows. He's into everyone and everything!

Dear Vanessa
How are you?
Panda is growing into a beautiful young cat. She is so
friendly and affectionate Everyone she meets falls
instantly in love with her including all the staff at the
vet's who she had wrapped around her little finger!
She has beautiful fur. She is still quite kitten-like,
playing with everything and chasing anything that moves.
She loves being centre of attention. Her favourite toy is
a pink play tunnel which has 3 tunnels joined together and
is made of a crinkly material that makes a crunchy noise
every time she runs through it. She likes me to put my
hand through the holes and try to catch it. She likes it
even better if everyone in the room is playing this game
with her at the same time as happened over christmas!
I've attached her latest photo taken this weekend. I'm
currently writing a medical text book so I spend a lot of
time at home sat at my desk. She likes to sit on my
shoulder (or in the hood of my hoodie!) and supervise. It
is very sweet how much she likes to be involved with
everything I do whether it's loading the dishwasher or
taking a shower.
At night she either sleeps next to my head on the pillow
or if it's cold will snuggle up under the duvet with me.
As you can probably tell I am totally besotted with her!
Thank you so much for raising such a beautiful well
adjusted kitten. And thank you so much for letting me have
her!!

Lulu is settling in well and getting to know Ellie. She is real sweetie and never stops purring when she is picked up. held or cuddled!

Hi Vanessa
Just to let you know we made it back in one piece and George sat on my lap the whole way. He was really good but quite vocal!
Now we are home he is having a great time. Jumping over everything and running everywhere. He seems to have forgotten his brothers and sisters already. We think he's very brave.
We are so pleased with him!
Thanks and best wishes.
Katy

Hi Vanessa,
Just to let you know that we are safely home. Lestrade slept most of the way.
He's eaten some food, had a drink of water and now he's purring and sniffing his away around the house.
Regards
Chris and Jan

Hello Vanessa, home safe and sound.
As you can see, we have decided to name her Zeta Silhoette but Ze for short. We love Silhoette but it wasn't so easy to shorten. This way, we get the best of both.
She checked out the room before settling down in her bed. She seems very happy
Thank you so much for your time today. I will keep you updated on how she is getting on and I think my Mum will be back in contact in the very near future.
Best wishes
Lisa xx

Just letting you know that we arrived home safely with Spectre. She was a very good girl and didn't make the slightest fuss on what was a very long journey. Sabu the Bengal is most put out and has taken himself off in a huff. Alan the moggy has given her a little lick and a sniff; the dogs have paid less attention than I would have expected. Spectre is very inquisitive and has spent a long time investigating the house. We've bought her a new, igloo type bed but I suspect that she'll end up under the duvet! Will send you some pictures as soon as I've had chance to get some taken and uploaded. Maggie

Hello Vanessa. Just to let you know that Mischa is fine after her recent spay, she was very quiet in the carrier on the way home but as soon as she was in the house she leapt out of the carrier and started running around madly. I was a bit surprised that she did this so soon after a general anasthetic. My partner Kevin started calling her a tough little cookie ..
Thanks again for your advice, it did put my mind at rest.
Have a good weekend.
Chris.

Hello,
Just to let you know we're all home ok. Little Apparition slept on my chest for half of the drive! Just introducing him to his big brother now.
Thanks again for such a lovely boy

Hi Vanessa,
Just to let you know that Bella, is doing really well. She is absolutely not interested in the bed we got her, prefering my son matthew's bed!! She slept really well last night, Matthew hardly slept at all, worried about her all night, but she just slept peacefully through. She was really good in the car coming home, even tho it ended up being over 3 hours. She is using the litter tray. She seems really happy and settled and has won everyone over. Please do not hesitate to email me if you want an update and I havent been in touch.
We love her and thank you for letting us have her.
Kind regards
Nicole

Hi Vanessa,
just to let you know that we all got back ok yesterday. Erma cried a little in the car, but it didn't take long for her to settle down.
Since then, I don't think she's stopped purring! It didn't take long for her to set about exploring. We had a couple of hiss and spits from Elma, but they both seem to be getting on well now, and play and chase each other around.
She's made us laugh with the antics she's been getting up to. She's eating well, and doesn't let the others bother her.
Speak to you soon.
Regards
Penny

Thought I would drop you a note to let you know how kittie is getting on.
She has found her favourite cushion by the radiator for those times where she needs to replenish her energy (few and far between). So we seem to have a new female boss around (she's taken over from me)!
She's doing well with the food and she has tackled the large litter tray no problem although it seems to swamp her :-)
I'll send some photos over as soon as she stands still long enough to take one. They are coming out blurred at the moment as she's moving too fast!!
Best wishes.

You will always be my first choice when I get another little monster
Kind regards

Just wanted to give you an update on Spectre. She's settled in very well and is now best of friends with Sabu (who previously wasn't keen on her). They're curled up on a chair together as I type!

Hi Vanessa
We had a good journey home. The girls have not stopped playing since we got here, we have two stair cases and they think it is great fun running up one and down the other. They have eaten all their food this morning, and been to the toilet. lots of new things to explore
********************
Hi Vanessa,
I hope you're all well?
I have uploaded some photos of Zumer, since I know you'd like to see how she's getting on.
Thank you for raising such a wonderful kitten for us. We adore her and she has been sooo good. My husband decribed her as "the perfect kitten", and she is.... :)
I will keep in touch.
Best,
Deb Clarke (& Graham and Willow)

Cleo is great. She gets on well with everybody!

Hello Vanessa.
The GCCF document arrived with me fine, thanks for that.
Little Mischa is fine, she went to the vet and had her first check and registration with everyone cooing over her - she loves the attention! Of all the Devon's I've owned she has the loudest purr and I think she's probably the most mischievious, so we think the name Mischa fits her personality very well.
We get a lot of joy from Mischa, she is a very interactive kitten and she has started using her voice to reply when we chat to her. Still squeaky right now, her voice hasn't yet dropped to a miaow
What a gorgeous little kitten she is, couldn't have asked for better!
Best wishes.
Chris Hyde.

Hi Vanessa,
It was lovely to meet you and your family and the cats and thank you for sending the insurance details.Just thought we’d let you know that we all made it back to Bristol and Marbles seems to be settling in well, in fact she’s trying to help me write this email!

Ellie was so good on the journey sleeping for most of the time. I have been pleasantly surprised at how quickly she has made herself at home and met the rest of the family with no shyness. She is quite a cheeky little thing. She has high bursts of energy of play and running everywhere, helping me change the duvet covers etc and then falls into an exhausted sleep for a couple of hours. It is a good thing I have kept most of the next few days free as she is taking up most of my attention!! I love her to bits already, we all do.
********************
Hi Vanessa,
Just thought I’d let you know Harry has settled down well, love him so much his really spoilt.
Best regards
Lisa
********************
She came out of the basket and let us all know she'd arrived. She is such a bold little kitten, she is now playing chase with Arnie and constantly giving him the slip, she seems to disappear before his eyes and he stands there looking around for her. She has also found her favourite cushion by the radiator for those times where she needs to replenish her energy (few and far between). So we seem to have a new female boss around (she's taken over from me)! She's doing well with the food and she has tackled the large litter tray no problem although it seems to swamp her :-)
********************
She was lively and vocal the whole journey home and I'm sitting with her in the spare bedroom where we've set up a mini palace while our other cat Ori gets used to her. He's utterly mesmerised by her but not being very gentlemanly and pouncing on her at every opportunity, but you're right, she really is bombproof!!
********************
Ellie ( Mekare ) has been with me now a month and 4 days! She has settled in so well . She is very good with family and visitors. She has just climbed onto my shoulder as I write this!!! I think she sends her love!!
********************
Totoro has really made our house a special place to live.
********************
I just wanted to send you news of how your little blue boy is and to let you know that he has settled down. He is so full of life and always on the go so it’s very hard to take pics of him. He is a very loving little boy and that is what I wanted, he follows me around and loves attention from anyone who comes into the house I am so very pleased with him.
********************
Luna is doing really well and has grown really fast. She will be one in march which seems to have all gone so fast. I have taken her to one show so far which she Won best Devon kitten and best of breed so i am really pleased about that.
********************
The kittens have settled in well, been here six months now, so not really kittens any more! I can’t believe it’s gone so fast! Both are greedy and love their food and both are extremely affectionate. They climb up under my chin at night when I settle down in front of the TV and they purr so loud I have to switch the sound up!! Considering the wife was the one who wanted Devons and I wasn’t too keen they have won me over very well. Will you be having any more kittens this year? I think the wife would like a boy since I have stolen the affections of her two girls!!
