When we sit down in the evening it is not unusual for mum to drag her kittens out of the nest and put them on my lap before she settles down and feeds them there - this is great as no-one wants to disturb them so I don't have to get up and make a cup of tea - someone will bring me one!!!

Our kittens are used to a scratching post and litter trained before they leave us for their new homes plus they come with:

Certificate showing worm and flea prevention treatments given

1st vaccination

2nd vaccination

GCCF registration

Full pedigree

12 weeks insurance

Kitten care info

Diet sheet

Life time back up service - any questions just ask.

We breed strong healthy kittens from strong healthy parents - given the best possible start in life!!

Our kittens have excellent health, pedigrees, looks and "purrsonalities"!

Kittens leave us once they are 13 weeks old and have completed their vaccinations.

Our kittens are priced at £995 each.

We are happy for kittens to go to new homes with well behaved dogs and children as we have both ourselves BUT we do expect that children will have been taught the proper way to treat a kitten.

Kittens are little people NOT toys!!! No excuses will be tolerated for spiteful or cruel behaviour. We reserve the right to refuse to sell a kitten to anyone we feel is unable to provide it with proper care.

Anyone buying one of our kittens must sign a kitten sales agreement in which they agree to care for the kitten properly. See our kitten sales agreement

Cat litter

We use "Worlds Best” cat litter which you can buy either online or at places like Pets at Home. It’s an organic cat litter and after trailing every type of litter on the market we have found this to be the best.

Litter trays

A covered litter tray is the best type for your kitten to use, but one without a cat flap on it - just an opening, as kittens can find the flap hard to use and you really don’t want any obstacles in the way when the kittens wants to go to the toilet!! A covered tray helps the kitten to feel safe and secure while he or she is "on the loo", after all you wouldn’t want people staring at you when you were “busy” would you??!! It also helps to stop litter being flung all over, something which Devon’s are extremely good at, they can throw litter right across the room when they get digging!!

Bedding

Devon kittens love to sleep in an igloo type house - it makes them feel safe and a cuddly toy to snuggle up to is a great comfort when they leave their mum. They also like soft fleecy blankets they can snuggle in – think cosy, soft and warm and you will choose the right bed!!

Toys

Devon Rex love all toys – they are playful cats even when they are adults. They are as happy with a bit of screwed up paper as they are with an expensive toy and we have found that they love to play with plastic drinking straws and pencils (the unsharpened ones) as well as toys on a string or stick. Feathers are a great favourite but if you pick them up outside – make sure they don’t have any mites or other unwanted “visitors” on them before you take them in the house!!

Food

We feed Royal Canin and Supreme kitten dry kitten food, please see the page entitled Feeding Your Kitten.
