Fera Nachshen Garber 1906-1991

We are all here today to say goodbye to a Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Aunt & Friend. Fera Garber.

Today we say goodbye but every day we will remember. Her husband will remember her standing by his side through good, bad, happy & sad. Her children will remember how they came first in her life. First & Foremost. And they recall how she chased them around the dining room table with a dishcloth - old fashioned discipline. We will remember a lady through & through from her wonderful silver groomed hair to her beautifully manicured fingers. Always up to date with the latest fashions. And we will remember her love for mauve and lilacs and pasta.

We will remember how she worried about the ones she loved. Especially when us grandchildren climbed that big weeping willow in the back yard we so often played in.

We will remember the wonderful smell of cooking in her home and gefilte fish and those delicious bubby cookies that once you started eating them you could never stop. And what a card player. Zaidies midnight gin partner and the greatest canasta challenger of all time.

We will remember the smiles that her great-grandchildren, Lynny and her little Lexie brought to ther face no matter how she felt during her last precious years. We remember the way she laughed so hard, when she watched us play. She really did love us all.

How lucky we all are, those who can say we will remember Fera Garber.

Written by the grandchildren.
