My eleven year old niece Alyssa Charbonneau completed this webquest. Below are the links to the two pieces of her final project. She used prezi for her first one, and voki for her second one. The poem that Alyssa presented with a prezi is the one that sends a message about a change she would like to see in the world. I have also added the text version of both of her poems below.

put an end to kill shelters

Can you imagine a newborn, fluffy puppy being killed
in less than 24 hours if it didn't find a home?
Homeless puppies and dogs getting dumped on the street
year round, wet eyed, tail between legs, shivering, skinny,
and hungry.
Adoptable, fluffy newborns get dropped off
at a blood pulsing kill shelter sent for their anxious death
propped up on a cold, metal table
where many dogs and puppies have gotten killed before.
Not wanted, thrown away,
poor defenseless little creatures, one minute happy as can be,
next minute on a cold, metal table with a needle stuck in him,
poor creature won't live to see tomorrow.
Gonna get adopted, the poor beaten creatures
cuddled in it's owners arms
knowing there was no threat of a kill shelter.
Every dog, puppy, and animal deserves life
a full, happy life that wasn't ruined
by getting euthanized by the horrible kill shelter
that's why,
my mission in life is to give them a 2nd playful life
that wasn't ruined by a cold shelter
that didn't care about the animals
only getting paid for murdering defenseless animals.
Alyssa e-mailed her poem to the program in which she and her family adopted her dog.

If I ruled the world
each dog would have it's own room.
If I ruled the world
you could have as many dogs as you wanted.
If I ruled the world
a robot would get you dressed.
If I ruled the world
every school bus would have a bathroom.
If I ruled the world
school buses would have seats on the outside of them.
If I ruled the world
your car would have a second floor with a refrigerator and a bathroom.
If I ruled the world
your car would have a food pick screen and whatever food you wanted
would come out of the air vents.
If I ruled the world
every car would have an auto driver so you could go to sleep.
If I ruled the world
school would be 1 hour long.
If I ruled the world
the school teachers would get paid $10 a minute,
and that is $600 an hour.
