In module five we will be reading chapters nineteen through twenty-two. Here, we will be using the "synthesizing" skill. Remember, this means to think about your learning process and think about the new information you have. What "big ideas" do you have after reading chapter twenty-two?
I would like you to do an exercise in your journal called connect and reflect. The goal here id for you to think deeply based on what you have been reading. Answer the following questions.
1. How does this relate to my life?
2. Do I have anything in common with any of the characters?
3. What traits do we have in common?
4. Have I ever felt similar to how I think one of the characters felt?
5. How is this book similar and different than other books I have read (please create a venn diagram for this)?
6. How do the events of this book remind me of the real world? This is the one I want you to focus on the most. Please write a full paragraph or more about this one.
We will have a whole class discussion about the above questions.
