Edwin T Sanders was known as “ET” to his friends. Sanders graduated from Morristown High School in 1937, an option for Lakers before Briarcliff was built. In the yearbook, it stated that Eddie was a member of both the drama and rifle clubs. He was also voted "Most Sophisticated" by his classmates.
The editors also had the following description for Eddie: "And here we have the answer to why girls leave home. Eddie hails from Mountain Lakes and has displayed such a colorful personality and aptitude for getting into trouble that Morristown High School will seem empty without him." It sounds like he was a lot of fun.
Sanders left his home at 39 Dartmouth Road to join the war effort, never to return. He was greatly missed and I am sure many felt the community seemed empty without him.
