Private (Rifleman) 235358, 5th Battalion, King's (Liverpool Regiment). Died of wounds 12 May 1918. 

Born, resident and enlisted Shap. 

Formerly 203901, Border Regiment. In the 1911 census he is the son of John and MAry Ostle, aged 20, a Farmer's son working on the farm, born Wickerslack, resident Towcett, Shap. 

Buried North of the church near the boundary in CROSBY RAVENSWORTH (ST. LAWRENCE) CHURCHYARD, Westmorland.

(CWWG Commission wrongly identifies Thomas as IE Ostle and this is due to be corrected by them.)

Thomas Ostle is also commemorated on the Crosby Ravensworth Memorial Tablet on the village hall.

His service record does not seem to have survived.
