Fitness Programs

The Library is pleased to offer a variety of ongoing fitness classes for adults. These free classes are funded by the Library, the Friends of the Library and the Council on Aging.

Strength Training: The Anti-Aging Solution

taught by Dr. Kathy Sward

Tuesdays, 9 am, on Zoom

Resistance and mobility training are the key to aging gracefully. Benefits of regular strength training  include improved mood, cognition, strength, balance, posture, metabolism, bone health, agility, and longevity.  This free, safe class offers modifications for students at all levels. What you'll need:

2 sets (2) of dumbbells: for example- 3 lb set 5lb set 

Yoga strap or towel and Yoga or exercise mat  

 Gentle Yoga with Jeannette
