Program Overview

Minnesota Aquafins is an Artistic (Synchronized) Swimming Club
for swimmers in grades 1-12.

THE MN AQUAFINS TEAM IS RUN THROUGH
ST. LOUIS PARK COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Our program is open to swimmers from all across the Twin Cities Metro Area

New swimmers are accepted in SEPTEMBER and in MARCH

as well as during our SUMMER CAMPS

GRADES 1-6

For 1st-6th graders, our season runs through out the school year, starting in mid-September and ending in mid-May.

The 1st-6th Grade option allows participation in both meets and shows during the season! Swimmers in this group usually practice 2 days a week. The program provides an introduction to synchronized swimming basics, including preparing a routine for a team show and/or competitions, and building strength and endurance.

During the first few weeks of the season, coaches will assign swimmers to smaller team groups based on age, experience, and skill level.

Parent and swimmer requests are also considered but final decision on placement is made by coaches.

GRADES 7-12

The 7th-12th grade group swims from mid-September until the end of February. Most of our athletes participate in the spring High School Synchro season at various metro schools during March-May, so this program is focused on fall and winter. Swimmers attend practice 2-3 days a week.

For advanced swimmers in grades 7-12, there are some opportunities to compete into the spring for Zone, Region, and National competitions. These competitions will sometimes overlap with high school synchro season and if so, require a waiver from the MN State High School League.

We also offer a 7th-12th grade non-competition option for swimmers who are looking to stay in shape and improve on skills for the High School Synchro season but are not interested in participation at the meets. These swimmers attend practice 1-2 days a week.
