Figures are an important part of synchronized swimming and make up 50% of the total score during competition for Novice, Intermediate, and AG 13-15 Routines. These are individual elements performed without musical accompaniment in front of a panel of judges who look at a number of different aspects of the skill being performed, such as speed, control, tightness, and how high the swimmer is in the water.
