Leon County Public Works, Solid Waste and Parks and Recreation will host a public meeting at 6:00 pm, Monday, May 7th at Woodrun Baptist Church. As the permanent closure of the landfill moves into a new phase, and the master development plan for the park has been approved, they wish to provide an update to nearby residents. Come meet contractor and key county staff, hear the updates and ask questions about these two close-to-home projects
You can view the Master Plan, read the approved county commission agenda item that contains the mitigating strategies we negotiated on your behalf, and read the public meeting invitation letter, sent to neighborhoods within 500 feet of the property, on the Apalachee Regional Park page of our web site, www.woodrunneighbors.org/ARP-update.
