Annual Membership Renewal...It's your neighborhood, won't you join us!
The landfill closure project has begun. A website has been created to provide an overview of the closure project and includes various FAQs. The Leon County Solid Waste Landfill closure site is located at 7550 Apalachee Parkway (across the street from our neighborhood).
Apalachee Regional Park is situated directly across Apalachee Parkway from the Meadows at Woodrun neighborhood, Woodrun Baptist Church, Louvinia Drive, and the Lake Heritage neighborhood. The County has begun the process of permanently closing and capping the landfill and developing a master plan to enhance the amenities of the park. This page is devoted to the Association's communication and subsequent partnership with the County to voice the neighborhood's concerns and provide input on the process of further developing the park.
Approved Agenda Item
The Community Affairs Committee fulfills the Association's advocacy role and purpose by: providing a forum for the homeowners and residents, establishing opinions and making such opinions known to the general public and to County officials on topics of concern, and representing and advancing the common interests of the residents in the neighborhood; encouraging the County to enforce codes, ordinances and laws whose violation degrades the quality of life in the neighborhood; and, educating residents regarding options for dealing with code, ordinance and law violations that impact their property.
