Creating Maps, Coordinate Geometry
BeeBots are excellent for exploring, position, coordinate geometry and directions.
The map shown opposite can be used easily from Kindy right through to Year 6. It just takes a little imagination.
Students can:
follow directions to get from point A to point B via the road.
they can use terms like travel east, turn north etc
use coordinate geometry like drive from C1 to A3 via E5 etc
create their own codes and have other students drive and describe the journey.
