Please read all instructions (twice if you need to) before trying to begin. It will save you a lot of time and difficulty later.
The majority of students indicated we should make fliers, and the softball team needs them soon. We will actually hand these out, so do your best!
Important: since this will be given out to members of the community, it is extremely important that we respect copyright law. While you are encouraged to look at examples of effective fliers, all of your work must be original. This means you may not just take images off of the internet. All graphics and images must be your own work. You may also use clip-art (in Writer) or images from these websites: http://www.irvingisd.net/imagelibraries/
Each group will need to design and make one flier. If you are in 2nd - 5th period, your target audience will be teachers. If you are in 6th or 7th periods, your target will be local businesses/members of the community.
Based on your input, the poster must have the following items:
1. The event name (Lady Vikes Softball Fundraising Golf Tournament)
2. The date of the event
3. A description of the event
4. A slogan trying to convince people to come (ex: "come support the softball team with a day of fun competition" or "everyone's invited..."). We need to really give them a reason to come!
5. Where to sign up ("See Coach Morrison") include his e-mail
6. Pictures, graphics and/or effects - enough to reasonably cover the page and make it look good
6th and 7th period must include information about sponsoring a hole

You have the option of doing this electronically (Open Office Writer, Draw, etc.) or free-hand.
Grading as follows:
Each item 1-5 = 10 points. Item 6 (overall appeal of the flier) will be worth 50 points.
