Stock Market Research Scavenger Hunt/Begin Trading

1. Finish notes from yesterday/Friday and turn in

2. Complete the Stock Market Research Assessment

3. Begin trading! Follow the instructions below:

Note: Be sure you have researched what stocks you want to buy first!

Go to: http://vse.marketwatch.com/Game/Homepage.aspx

Click on "My Portfolio" on the left side of the screen

Look at your "Cash Balance" - this is how much money you have that you can use to buy stocks

Click on "Make a Trade" on the left side of the screen

Enter the stock ticker (1-4 letter symbol for the company, ex: goog = Google) in the box and click "Go"

Enter the number of shares you want to buy

Click "Preview Trade" - Review the trade to make sure you have enough money and want to do it.

Click on "Place Order"

That completes the trade! It will take about 20 minutes to process, during which time you can research or buy other stocks - just make sure you don't run out of money!
