About 80-90% of human beings spend virtually all kinds of social, living and production activities in the indoor environment. Indoor environmental quality has greater impact on our health than outdoors. The environment in which we live is not actually as safe as we think. Sick building syndrome (SBS) can easily occur if we are exposed to highly polluting indoor conditions for a long time. Taiwan's climate belongs to the island-type climate which mean the hot and humid weather impact the thermal comfort in the indoor environment. Through the investigation of 31 houses, we found the ventilation is keypoint to improve the indoor climate quality.
