I have taken various courses in order to further my education and for my re-certification. Two of the courses were to allow me to be able to organize a cooperative education program where students would be able to come to school for part of their day and then go get on the job training for part of their day. Some of the courses that I have taken were online or CD-ROM courses for dealing with Special Education issues and concerns. Others were in technology areas – computer software training.

K-12 education all within the same building. It is a joke that you start in one end and they kick you out the other end. Here I was taught by teachers that not only had my older sister in classes, but also my mother and uncle in class. I was even taught by classmates of my mother and uncle. It was a great experience because we were not just students to our teachers, but we were also their children. All the teachers within the school knew who you were and could call you by name, you were not just another student or number, you were a person with a name.
