Pink Ballerina
(May 5, 2006) I was inspired to paint another ballerina. This one has some movement effects suggesting her possible backward bending motion. I also like the soft silky background around her.
Bronze Ballerina
This was inspired by Degas bronze ballerina. This was my first painting of a ballerina. I tried hard to show the texture of bronze using watercolor.
Ballerina Trio (18" x 24")
This is my second ballerina painting inspired by the same bronze ballerina by Degas.
Left Ballerina (Closeup)
She looks like she is about to sing something here. I painted her second.
Middle Ballerina (Closeup)
I painted this one first. She looks like she has welled-up in emotion here.
Right Ballerina (Closeup)
I painted this one last. This one looks like she is awaiting something calmly.
