I have been singing bass since I was in grade 7. Yes, my voice changed at a fairly young age. I remember singing in an operetta "White Gypsy" that year. I sang the part of the gypsy chief as a soprano in practice and as a bass for the performance! I prefer singing second bass, but I have a 3 1/2 octave range from A1 to E5 including falsetto. In normal voice I generally sing from C2 to E4, a range just over two octaves.
Over the years I have sung in performances of several major classical works, several of which I have performed multiple times. Here are some of them:
The Messiah (G.F. Handel)
The Creation (J. Haydn)
Christmas Oratoria (J.S. Bach)
Requiem (G. Verdi)
Petite Messe Solennelle (G. Rossini) - bass solo
Requiem (G. Fauré)
Judas Maccabaeus (G.F. Handel)
Lord Nelson Mass (J. Haydn) - bass solo
Magnificat (J.S. Bach)
Messa di gloria (G. Puccini) - bass solo
Elijah (F. Mendelssohn)
Fantasia on Christmas Carols (R. Vaughn Williams)
Requiem (A. Mozart)
Requiem (J. Brahms)
Carmina Burana (C. Orff)
