I have done live and recording audio mixing for quite a few years. I enjoy continually looking for things to improve when mixing. The tips on this page are as much as a reminder to myself as instructional for others.
Here are some useful pointers for doing sound engineering:
Make a plan for channel assignments on the mixer. Group vocals together in order where possible so that the leftmost channel corresponds to the person on the left as viewed from the mixing booth.
