The following documents were approved by Council on February 22nd - see agenda here.

B Proposed Major Modifications June 2016
C Proposed Further Major Modifications Nov 2016
These are exactly as previously published for consultation - the Pre-Submission Draft includes the Longhorsley inset boundary.
There are three new documents:
D Proposed Additional Major Modifications Feb 2017
E Proposed Minor Modifications Feb 2017
F Consolidated Proposed Modifications Feb 2017
Appendices D & E specify new modification, some of which are as a result of comments received during the consultations.
Appendix F is a full copy of the Core Strategy showing all the modifications.
None of these new modification directly affect Longhorsley.

On 7 April 2017 the Northumberland Local Plan Core Strategy was submitted to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government for independent examination.

These are exactly as previously published for consultation and reviewed by Council in February.
The three documents prepared in February were submitted:

Proposed Minor Modifications Feb 2017
Consolidated Proposed Modifications Feb 2017 (see below)
There are some changes in terminology - for example, “Commercial Centre” becomes “Town Centre”.
There are some updates - for example, the Morpeth Neighbourhood Plan is now “made” rather than “emerging”.
The housing numbers now reflect the position as at April 2016 rather than April 2015.

A new SHLAA is referenced in this Library list - it replaces the previous version published in May 2016.
Inspection
Inspection
Extracted from the Inspector appointment and Programme Officer letter:
Mr Roger Clews is the inspector for the Northumberland Local Plan Core Strategy.
Hearing sessions will form part of the examination and will begin on Tuesday 26 September 2017 at Morpeth Town Hall.
Preliminary details of the hearing sessions will be published in June 2017 and a detailed programme will be published in July 2017.
Andrea Knowles is the Programme Officer
The Core Strategy has not been scrapped - it is only certain elements which will now be reviewed.
The review will look to further protect Green Belt land and prevent a development “free for all” in the future.

Motion to withdraw and review Core Strategy
Motion to withdraw and review Core Strategy
At its meeting on 5th July Northumberland County Council passed a motion to withdraw the Core Strategy and to carry out a full review of the housing and employment numbers, and strategic land use allocations.

A 7-page Report of the Director of Planning and Economy is attached as an appendix to the agenda to inform Council’s consideration of the motion.
On July 10th NCC withdrew the Local Plan Core Strategy from Government.
