I am a Sherlock Holmes fan since I read the Sign of Four in elementary school.
I knew then that he used Judo or Jujutsu.
But I wondered how the consulting detective in the late 19th century England studied the Japanese art of self defense.
And I learned much later that Jujutsu had already been known in some circles in Europe by then.
I watched Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes films, and found them very entertaining.
In the films, Holmes does Sankaku Jime on Doctor Watson, and Kote Gaeshi on a villain.
Let's hope to see more Judo and Aikido actions in the next one.
