I have been a fan of the Beatles for about 40 years.
This was my first time to see Paul McCartney live on stage.
The show started at about 7:15 PM on 25 April 2015 at Tokyo Dome.
When he appeared on the stage, it took me a short while to take in that Paul was really there to sing for us.
I felt restless during the first few songs.
"Eight Days A Week"
This was a surprise opening song, because it is sung by John Lennon on the album.
I had a feeling that John was there singing with Paul.
"The Long And Winding Road"
Paul struck a chord in my heart.
And I found myself singing along.
Back in my college days in USA, I painted a picture with the song in mind.
It was on display at a college exhibition.
"Blackbird"
It was thrilling for me to hear him singing the song live.
And I could not resist to sing along.
In a hostel in Liverpool in December 1994, I played the song on a guitar.
An Aussie guy then showed me how to play it in another way.
"Here Today"
The song touches me, because I believe it is a candid expression of Paul's feelings for John.
It was a special moment for me to see and hear Paul singing the song.
The show lasted for about 3 hours.
But I felt like 30 minutes.
I enjoyed every minute of it and was impressed with his professionalism.
Thank you very much for the great time, Paul.
I hope to see you again soon.
I am sure John would be happy about your success in his second home country he loved.
