I had never seen a Godzilla film before, and I did not to plan to see Godzilla Minus One.
But, because of the rave reviews, I went to a theatre to see it.
I ended up watching it 3 times in theatre.
Surprisingly, Godzilla Minus One has become an international box office success, grossing more than 100 million US dollars worldwide.
More surprisingly, it is shown with subtitles in the US, UK and many other countries.
Godzilla has destroyed the cultural barriers.
The film has the strong storyline and powerful characters along with the spectacle of the battle between Godzilla and civilians.
The music is magnificent and enhances the suspense as the story unfolds.

Koichi, a former kamikaze pilot, chose to live for his mother by faking engine trouble.
After Noriko, Koichi’s common-law-wife, had been killed by Godzilla, Koichi decided to take out Godzilla by a kamikaze attack to protect the future of Akiko, his adopted girl.
He put a photo of Noriko on the control panel in the cockpit of Shinden, a fighter plane originally developed to intercept B-29, and took off on the self-made mission.
His look of determination in the cockpit while flying touched me.
But he chose again to live for Akiko by using the ejection seat just before charging into the mouth of Godzilla, and this is a powerful message of the film.
I very much look forward to the sequel to this great film.
