WEOBLEY AND STAUNTON ON WYE GROUP OF PARISHES
As you will remember the issue came up at the last benefice meeting about help the local churches could give to the many people in the Parishes who have suffered in the February flood. The houses are still clearing out spoiled effects but the Corporation Foundation Trust has offered practical and financial support. Listed below are the agencies who are helping and their contacts. You will find more information on line.

Perhaps each church would like to decide for itself which of these agencies they would like to support financially or practically.
Open Reach: Please consider writing to the chief executive of Open Reach to plead that the Letton Open Reach Box be moved to a higher level. As it is Broadband and telephone contact are lost for 2 weeks for all supplied by that box with even a minor flood. The Mobile reception is poor and variable so the result is that those flooded cannot contact family, friends or agencies. The Open Reach box was placed in an area that floods regularly, despite workmen being repeatedly informed that it would flood.
