LETTON FLOOD HUB

This was the second ZOOM meeting of the Letton Flood Hub.
AIMS:
To provide an EMERGENCY FLOOD PLAN with information helpful for both planning before
a flood and facilities available to support after one.
COMMUNICATIONS:
a. An initial draft of relevant information has been delivered to all houses in Letton.
b. There is now a “flood” page on the ‘lettonvillage’ website which will be regularly updated.
c. Information is also on the parish council website
d. Realised we failed to give link on the recent information of any contact number.

DECISIONS:
The Letton Flood Hub is a working group of the Kinnersley Group Parish Council. It remains to be
constituted formally.
Steve Grist, clerk of Staunton on Wye Parish Council attended with a view to liaising with the
Staunton on Wye flood plan that arose from the meeting facilitated by SheilaMarsh on 24/03/2020.
Need to consider the role and advantages of a volunteer Flood Warden
ACTIONS:
Steve Prosser will liaise with Rev.Charles Overton re: publishing a ‘Floods’ timetable.
Steve Prosser will review paper from Steve Hodge with a view to summarising it.
Rosemary Davidson will contact Sheila Marshall about questions anyone may have about L.A.
Progress since public meeting in November 2019.
Mrs. Davidson will contact Steve Hodge about progress on road signage re floods and relevant
advice.
Derys Maddox will liaise with Swan Inn.
Derys Maddox will pass Contact for Jarvis Eleemosynary CIO
INFORMATION:
The local authority Flood Resilience Fund has been extended and it is still possible to apply for
£5000, £500 of which will cover 2 surveys. Contact Steve Hodge, Hereford Council, Dept. of the
Environment
