1) I'm taking an important exam next week. I'm a bit nervous about it.

I like museums, but not noisy, crowded places.
Oh, I like museums, too. There are just few in the area. Do you like art?
I prefer history.
You could visit the Etruscan museum and tombs in Baratti, a beautiful beach area outside of Piombino.
When's the best time to go?
The best time is around 2pm when most people are on their lunch break and it's still warm. If you go to the tombs, you can take a hike to the sea, which is quite nice.
That sounds lovely. I went to an archeological museum a few weeks ago in England.

Have you ever heard of Cambridge?
Yes, of course. It's famous. Was it good?
Yes, they've done a lot of work on it recently. There's a new cafeteria there, too.
Unfortunately, there's nowhere to eat or drink in our museums, but there is a bar at the tombs in Baratti. One of the students at our school has a bar in Populonia, the old city on top of the hill that is worth seeing. I'm sure he'd offer you a coffee! There is an incredible view from the ancient castle and some nice souvenir shops....
3) We normally spend New Year's Eve at my parents', but this year we've decided to go away on holiday. I don't know how to tell my mom. Why? How do you think she'll react? / Do you think she'll be disappointed /angry / hurt? .....
