• Professor Lyazid Chetouani (2000–2005) – A founding director whose leadership helped shape the laboratory. He retired after a distinguished career dedicated to physics and education.

• Professor Noureddine Mebarki (2005–2021) – A founding member, distinguished physicist, and dedicated leader whose legacy continues to inspire. He was sadly taken from us too soon by COVID-19.
