Motion Correction

A PET/MR motion correction system is developed. The MR is utilized for acquiring in short scan time a 4D (3D+time) motion model (4D MR imaging) which is then applied to correct the PET data.

An easy-to-build and cost-efficient motion phantom which mimics respiratory-induced non-rigid deformations, was built to evaluate the performance of the above mentioned methods.

A Matlab GUI, called MoCoGUI, allows to perform, visualize and analyze image registration algorithms which are needed to retrieve a motion model (deformation field).
