I obtained a highly competitive UW Colleges summer research grant for 2013 for my project titled “Studying the effect of a flipped classroom model on the teaching and learning of calculus” . The project involves studying the effect on student performance resulting from an intervention where selected topics, which are usually considered difficult will be taught using an inverted classroom model. The results from this research grant was presented at the international peer-reviewed SoTL conference ISSOTL 16.
