When a teaching intervention is made to remove a bottleneck, it is often a good thing to conduct a study using an intervention/control type data gathering and analyzing the results. Here is an example of a Quiz given and the analysis of results done to measure any enhancement of learning resulting from a special research lesson (Ctrl +click here for worksheet) made to overcome student bottlenecks in integration applications.
A special research lesson was created using guidelines provided by research to help students overcome bottlenecks associated with integration applications. After the lesson, a quiz was given to students to check any enhancement in performance resulting from the special lesson. This quiz was also given to some control sections. The results were then analyzed and a significant improvement was observed.
