Dr. Juan Villegas Cortés is a full professor at UAM Azcapotzalco who specializes in artificial intelligence. He holds a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, a master's degree, and a Ph.D. in computer science. His research areas include computer vision, bio-inspired algorithms, pattern recognition, and machine learning.
A member of SNII Level 1 and PRODEP's desirable profile, Dr. Villegas is an experienced academic. He belongs to prestigious organizations such as the SMIA, the IEEE, and the ACM. He has served as dean of the NASA LUNABOTICS competition.
