Introduction

This project will allow students to use documents and pictures to learn more about houses in Britain. Think about the following questions:

• • What do houses in Britain look like? What kind of materials are they made of?

  • How does the environment influence buildings?

  • Are houses in the country similar to houses in the city?

  • Are houses in big cities similar to houses in small towns?

  • What does the interior of the houses look like?

  • How many rooms are there?

  • Which rooms have they got?

  • What kind of furniture and fittings have they got in?

  • How are they decorated?

  • What about prices? Are they as expensive in the country as in the city?
