Course Goal and Objectives:

Course covers advanced topics in computer science and includes multiple areas in artificial intelligence, such as robotics, emotional agents, etc. This is a project-based course, and you will have the chance to conduct your own research topics. Under the guidance of Dr. Jiang, you will also learn the skills to identify and develop a research topic, conduct research project, write research paper and present a research paper.

Grading Policy:

--You are expected to turn in your progress report every two weeks, and NO late report will be accepted.

-- NO late assignment will be accepted.

-- NO make-up quizzes.

-- Question about grading must be presented to the instructor within one week after the report or quizzes have been returned.

        Assignments and Participation: 30%

        Quizzes: 10%

        Progress Reports: 20%

        Presentation and Slides: 20%

        Final Project Report: 20%

Grading Scale:

        90--above =A 

        80--89 =B 

        70--79 =C 

        60--69 =D 

        Below 60 =F
