According to students' request, the deadline for Progress Report 4 is extended to next Monday (11/3).

Requirements for progress report 4:
1. Complete the progress report cover sheet (as in the attachment.)
2. Extra page(s): Outline of your research paper.
(10/20) Research paper writing.
(10/17) Progress report 3 due today + 2 sample papers.
(10/9) Grades are posted on Blackboard, if there is any question, please contact Dr. Jiang.
Reminder: Progress report 3 will due next Friday (10/17).
Requirements for progress report 3:
1. Complete the progress report cover sheet (as in the attachment.)
2. Extra page(s): (4 - 5 pages)
2.1. Title
2.2. Describe your work with sections, and you may include information about assumptions, conditions; work descriptions and results / data collected.
Note: If you change your topic, your extra page should include the new content of 2.1 - 2.4 as described in the requirements for progress report 2.
It's strongly suggested to email Dr. Jiang your progress report 3.

2.2. Abstract: brief explanation about what you are trying to do (150 - 200 words).
2.3. Keywords: 4 - 5.
2.4. Background / Related work.

(9/19) If I am late for 5 minutes, the class of this afternoon (9/19/08) will be canceled because of the seminar for Open Source (9/19/08, 12:00pm-1:00pm, STARKS-I), and you are required to attend the seminar. If you have any question, drop by ALU313 between 3:30pm - 6:00pm instead.

2.4. List references for your topic (At least 5).
