Final Paper 

Due: 4/29, Wednesday.

Requirements:

1. One cover page with title, author, abstract (150 - 300 words), and keywords.

2. Content (10 - 15 pages, not including the cover page). 

Progress Report 4 (Need about 3 class hours.)

Due: 4/8, Wednesday. (You should have your research plan and data now.)

Complete the progress report cover sheet (download the document here):

    1. Describe your current progress status.

    2. Describe what kind of data you have gotten. (programming code, survey results, etc.)

    3. Give a conclusion based on your data (programming code, survey results, etc.)

    4. Provide a outline for your slides.

Email your progress report 4 to Dr. Jiang.

Assignment10

Due: 3/30, Monday.

Describe briefly what kind of data will be presented in your paper as your work, such as survey, source code of a program , etc.

Assignment9

Due: 3/27, Friday.

Give a outline for your work or plan (which can be extended to YOUR WORK part in your paper later).

Due: 3/23, Monday. (You should have your research plan and data now.)

    1. Describe you whole research plan.

    2. Describe your current status.

    3. Describe your plan about how to continue the left part of your research.

Email your progress report 3 to Dr. Jiang.

Progress Report 2

Due: 2/20, Friday. (You should have your research background materials now.)

1. Complete the progress report cover sheet (download the document here):

2. Reorganize your summaries to be 3 to 5 pages background / related work (Tips below):

   2.1. Expend your outline (as in Assignment8) with the content from your references and summary.

   2.2. Give each reference a number, and list the references at the end of the document (extra 1 or 2 pages for reference list).

   2.3. Cite the references in the content.

Check the sample papers (paper1, paper2) about how to list the references and how to cite them.

Email your progress report 2 and your 3-5 pages background (with references it should be 4-7 pages in total) to Dr. Jiang.

Assignment7 & 8

Due: 2/16, Monday.

(2/13) List 4 references with 4 summaries about your background reading.

(2/16) Think about how to organize your 10 summaries for your topic, and give an outline of it.

By Monday, you will need to email Dr. Jiang 4 other references with 4 summaries, plus an outline. 

Assignment5 & 6

Due: 2/9, Monday.

List 3 references with 3 summaries about your background reading for each class hour (2/6 and 2/9). By Monday, you will need to email Dr. Jiang at least 6 references with 6 summaries. 

Progress Report 1

Due: 2/2, Monday. (You should settle down your research topic now.)

1. Describe your research topic / title

2. Explain what you are trying to do.

3. List 5 keywords for your topic.

4. List references for your topic (At least 5).

Email your progress report 1 as an attachment to Dr. Jiang.

Assignment3

Due: 1/23, Friday, in class.

Check the class note General AI Topics and answer the following questions:

        1) What's AI?

        2) Choose one research area in AI Landscape, analyze it and describe what kind of knowledge / techniques are needed to complete the research.

Assignment2

Due: 1/16, Friday, in class.

Read the sample research papers: paper1, paper2, write down the outline of the two papers and summarize the content.

Assignment1

Due: 1/14, Wednesday, in class.

Check class note for Identify / Develop a Topic and potential projects. Answer the following questions:

        1) List one or two topics that you are interested in. (Not limited to potential projects).

        2) List 5 keywords related to each topic.

        3) List 2 or 3 related references for each topic.
