About This Course

Course Description:

This course describes the fundamental concepts of programming languages by discussing the design issues of the various language constructs, examining the design choices for these constructs, and  comparing design alternatives. Prerequisite: CSC 333 Data Structures; Math 144 Calculus II.

    2. Weekly schedule you should know (start from 8/30/2010):

        Every Monday & Friday: Individual study: 

              - Online chat will be provided during the class hours to answer questions;

              - Weekly assignment will due on Monday 11:59PM, and assignment for next week will be posted;

              - Available labs on campus are listed HERE.

        Every Wednesday: Meet Dr. Jiang

    3. NO late assignment will be accepted.

    4. All grades will be posted to http://scholar360.com/benedictcollege/. So make sure you have an account.     5. Question about grading must be presented to the instructor within one week after the exam or quizzes have been returned. 

Grading:

    Participation: 10% 

    Assignments: 25%  

    Quizzes: 20%  

    Midterm Exam: 20%  

    Final Exam: 25% 

    Extra Credits: to be determined by Instructor   

Grading Scale:              

       90--above  =A       

       80--89  =B       

       70--79  =C       

       60--69  =D              

       Below 60  =F
