I love to write professionally and personally. As you can see, the topics and inspirations are diverse and I thank Dr. Adrienne Lash Jones, my Black Women's History professor for giving me my first opportunity to appear in print, in an article about Dr. Dorothy I. Height for Notable Black Women, co-written by Dr. Jones and Malik Edwards, my classmate and friend. What a delight that many years later I was able to write for another publication edited by the great Jessie Carney Smith of Fisk University, and one for her then-colleague, Dr. Kofi Lomotey.
