Hermes and the Sculptor

One day Hermes took on the guise of a man, and made his way to the workshop of a renowned sculptor. He saw exquisite statues of several gods, including himself. First he pointed to a statue of Zeus. "How much for this work?", Hermes asked. "A ducat," the sculptor replied. "And for this much finer statue of Athena?" "Two ducats for that", the sculptor replied. Finally he pointed to the statue of Hermes. "And this statue of Hermes, the great herald of the gods?" "Ah...tell you what. If you buy Zeus and Athena, I'll give you that for nothing."

And thus it is said: Non quaeri molimentum tuum.
