Highway 6 Trailhead to Mabel Lake Road

Meeting Jack and Jerry at the One Stop in Longville. Shuttling the van, dropped off at the Highway 6 Trail head, walking through the woods past an overgrown pond, hiking the thin ridge near Milton Lakes, hiking through the scrubby woods to my bike at the Hwy 4 Trailhead. Continuing across the SOO Line Trail, encountering a critter, finding the Speakers Campsite, and then the Speakers Trail, meeting Matt Davis and Volunteer Phil working on the Trail, and singing karaoke at the Casino.

Mabel Lake Road to Highway 84

Meeting the Fitzgeralds at the Longville One Stop, shuttling the van, starting out at Mabel Lake Road, hiking to the Boy River, trying to find the Campsite on the Boy River, hiking to Macemon Road, Meeting the Janesecs, hiking to Macemon road again, meeting Kit, trying to find the Campsite on Crown Lake, meeting the Fangels, hiking back to the van at highway 84, going to the Longville Library to use the computer, scouting out the trail, meeting hunter Mark, going into Walker, showering at the Community Center and eating at Benson's.

Highway 84 to Goose Lake

Sleeping at the Highway 84 Trailhead, going past two farm fields, hiking the North south stretch past some pothole grasslands and marshes, walking across a cool stretch of land between two marshes, finding Hazel Lake and the Campsite, Meeting fisherman Ken, finding a pond near some tall pines, going into the Goose Lake Trail System, hiking past an unnamed lake then Goose Lake, being pick up by Ken and taken to my van, heading to Park Rapids and attending the Trail Dinner Click Here

Sunday, October 24 and Monday, October 25

Goose Lake to Woodtick Impoundment, then home.

Heading to the Woodtick Trail from Park Rapids, getting a late start on this wet, cold and rainy day, hiking past Moccasin, Cranberry, North Stocking, Ivans, Long (aka Gut) and Hovde Lakes, finding and not finding campsites, hiking through the Woodtick Impoundment Area, being picked up by Darrel, having Supper with Darrel, heading back to Madison, Click Here
