The Teton Yoga Co-op Non-Profit Inc. will continue to offer trips to India, including to the International Festival of Traditional Yoga, along with yoga retreats & occasional local specialty classes.
We are grateful for our community's support, from our main studio locations in Idaho Falls, to Teton Valley, ID (from the first 4 years in Driggs to the next 6+ in Victor), and Jackson, WY (for 2 yrs :)) We couldn't have done it without you, and we will be forever grateful to you all!!
With much appreciation to our incredible staff and for the wide range of disciplines they taught and shared so beautifully in our community, we will continue our support to you all into the future. And to our incredible students, all of us at the co-op miss you and hope to remain a part of your lives into the future. To friends of the co-op that helped in all the behind-the-scenes ways, refinishing and laying new flooring, decorating and donating nearly all of our co-op furnishings, computers and more, know that you laid the foundation to make it all possible. And, lastly, to our community partners, we thank you for making our work, effort, and mission broader and more impactful in all of the communities in which we have worked. The co-op will live on through you all. And we are forever grateful for all the invaluable roles each of you have played in this large community non-profit; we couldn't have achieved anything close to all we accomplished without all of your involvement and support.
For 11+ years, and with over 200 teachers and wellness practitioners working with and through the co-ops over the years, and with nearly 500 reviews on Mindbody at an average rating of 4.9, we have a lot to be proud of in all we achieved over the years. We had a total of nearly 20,000 students come to classes, and these don't include folks who attended our hundreds of donation-based offerings. And most important of all, we had a wide range of people from our community access our offerings - and that is part of what really makes us feel that we succeeded in our mission of making a positive and healthy space accessible to all in our community. Our mission remains to help folks learn about health and wellness, and to assist each person in reaching their fullest potential and highest expression of their true self.
We certainly tried all routes to continue operating more fully in our communities, but the obstacles presented ultimately became insurmountable for our community non-profit organization. And thus, with bittersweet acceptance, we offer closure for the time being to our community. We will keep fondness in our hearts along with a shared nostalgia of all that we created together, from smaller intimate classes to our larger events, festivals, women's empowerment and other Teton and regional retreats, ten amazing years of life-shifting teacher training groups, and mind-expanding trips to India. We acknowledge there must be a brighter path ahead for us all, and that all we created is not lost, but will exist on in a different shape and form. We do remain open to the possibility of helping the right person carry the path and mission of the co-op forward, should someone with the right non-profit alignment and integrity be open to doing so.
We do hope that all of you reading this will carry forward this example, this idea, of what a community can create when we come together and act in a way that serves the greater good of the community. What even a small community to start can achieve with a mission larger than any one, and greater than any one could achieve acting alone should remain in our minds and hearts as an idea that we carry forward and bring forth in another realm. The co-op's mission has also been to support our community's health physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, and specifically to do so with an eye to uplift those most in need, those less advantaged. We took this mission from SE Idaho and the Tetons to West Africa and India, in offering seed money to female social enterprise groups after they received business training, and we even partnered with non-profits working on human trafficking and exploitation - your support and contributions made a difference! We are all stronger having this support, sharing this support, and we are always stronger when working to make a positive change together!
One of our greatest points of pride was certainly in our ability to offer of the lowest set prices that we have seen in this country, with a large spread of classes of all types available and accessible among our 3-4 locations! We were very proud of this pricing, because this was one of the biggest measures we built the co-op around that assured us that we not only remained accessible, but that we even became more accessible to our community over the years. And instead of raising prices as most places might naturally need to do, we consistently lowered prices or refused to raise them. And, unfortunately, due to a number of outside factors and buildings changing hands, we were forced to cease in continuing to offer our services ultimately in the communities within which we operated. Much of these changes came later in the real estate market due to the effects of Covid, and while we tried to purchase and rent other locations for years, a number of factors resulted in us needing to cease our operations.
We pride ourselves on having offered a wide range of workshops, hosting visiting instructors, offering our in-house 300hr traditionally based yoga teacher trainings & supporting over a dozen community donation-based events monthly prior to Covid <3 We led several years of Women's Empowerment Retreats, Art and Yoga Retreats, Adventure and Yoga Retreats, along with retreats such as the Horses and Healing Retreat, the Moab by Moonlight Women's Yoga Retreat & more. And we are truly honored to have partnered with many local & international non-profits, and to have spread the true essence of yoga and service (karma/seva yoga) in as many ways as we were able for well over a decade. Please remember that you, as a part of our community non-profit co-op. truly were a key part in making our purpose and mission possible - and you should be proud of all the Idaho - Teton - JH Yoga Co-op's accomplished in this feat of a community non-profit operating for over a decade!
Our thanks rings out to each and all of you, to all of you that made this non-profit mission as successful as it was in achieving its greatest purpose of strengthening, educating and empowering our communities in health and holistic wellness. Our community reach is far and wide, local and international, and continues onward through all of the staff that worked at the co-op, and in all of the teachers we trained continuing to spread yoga, and in the hearts of our students and community carrying forward what they gathered from the co-op as well. We are all a part of this tapestry of community and humanity that we in part create, interwoven and connected. And while the co-op has changed in its form, all that it sparked has only shifted to exist within all of you and in what you chose to carry forward. And we are so grateful to you all for being a part of it all with us!!

The Co-op in all entities exists to provide a healthy, positive space to individuals and to our community. Our offerings are geared toward assisting individuals and our community in realizing their highest potential. We seek to be a holistic community non-profit providing a wide variety of offerings at affordable and accessible rates, including donation-based and free community offerings. We offer a quadruple bottom line model, meaning we focus on people, planet, place and profit/revenue to sustain us. We also employ a partial-cooperative, state-registered non-profit model and we seek to integrate within each of the communities within which we operate. We encourage those who offer services through us to provide and share their greatest passions in health and wellness, greatly adding to all we offer our community. We partner with other local non-profits, and non-profits around the globe to assist in spreading our mission far and wide, recognizing we are all interconnected, and that we are all a part of this global community.
