Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup is an event where you and your friends, neighbors, family, and colleagues will have a remarkable experience of camaraderie in removing trash and marine debris from beaches/shorelines, waterways and underwater sites. Come and join this year's Cleanup to be held globally on September 20, 2025, Saturday.
Group leaders/coordinators may register as a group indicating your estimated # of volunteers. You can send us an email at iccphilippines@gmail.com signifying your interest to join or would like to request a formal invitation to the ICC event. If you want to become a Site Coordinator (responsible for a single site) or an Area Coordinator (responsible for 2 or more sites), you may request for an endorsement letter to ICC Philippines.
You may ask /coordinate with your Provincial/City Environment offices (PENRO/CENRO), local government, barangay council, civic group, schools and resorts who will be organizing a Cleanup. A list of cleanup sites will be posted at the website upon submission by the Site Coordinators.
Browse through our website to know about ICC and its mechanics such as data recording. Information collected will be used to improve policies, ordinances and programs on solid waste management; to influence product innovation and packaging to reduce plastic waste and to heighten awareness about the degree of marine debris problem. Orientation materials, Ocean Trash Data Form, ICC Reports, sample designs of tarpaulin and t-shirt, etc. are available for downloading.
The guidelines will help Volunteers, Group Coordinators, Site/Area/Provincial Coordinators and Local Government Units (LGUs) on how to join and start a cleanup.
Invite your family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, organizations, clubs and schools to your cleanup event. Hold meetings to orient members and to organize your Cleanup.
Cleanup materials will include trash bags/sacks, Ocean Trash Data Form, ballpen, grabbers or tongs (optional), PPEs (mask and gloves), water bottle and alcohol/hand sanitizing gel.
Cleanup Coordinators and Group Leaders are tasked to summarize their trash data after the cleanup. Submit ICC results to: iccphilippines@gmail.com or online at the ICC Philippines website. You may send snapshots of the forms (front and back), provided they are clear and complete.
