Global Studies

Closing Letter

January 15, 2014

Dear Students,

I cannot believe that we have already reached the end of the semester. Where does the time go?!

Yet, for the small amount of time I got to spend with you all, I feel as though I have gained a great deal of knowledge and experience. You all have inspired me to be the best teacher that I can be and I hope that my interactions with you all this semester reflect that. Truly, I thank you all so much.

I think you all have the potential to do some really remarkable things with your life. There were many moments when I was simply amazed by the work you were able to accomplish in my class. I hope that one day, when you become rich and famous, you will remember your first semester global studies teacher. (Totally kidding, but seriously, if you become a celebrity, I'm going to brag to everyone how I was your teacher.)

If I had to leave one message with you all, it's this: no matter what life throws at you, whether it's something wonderful or something dismal, always remain positive. When you live your life with a positive attitude, full of friendliness and happiness, it has a wonderful effect on people. In my opinion, it makes the world a better place. Life is full of ups and downs, but when we infect our lives with positivity, there is not a single thing that can keep us down.

Feel free to email me if you have questions about anything related to social science. Sometimes I still email my professors from college to ask them questions, and most of the time they respond and they have been very helpful!

You're all awesome. Seriously, all of you. Don't make fun of me if I cry on our last day together next week.

Warmest Regards,

Hunter Simmons
