Lewis Pugh: "Tragically Beautiful Left of Centre Insurgent Folk From the Wild West of the People’s Republic of Yorkshire." Rocking Magpie.
“Lewis Pugh is an instinctive country music and rock & roll natural. Authentic & effortless.” Andy Kershaw
"Pugh makes a very persuasive case for being mentioned in the same sentence as Merry Hell." And we love Merry hell, here in Hunmanby!
Lewis has been to Hunmanby twice with his Burner Band, but this trio is anew venture.
David Broad we have hosted before with his own band. They were great. His playing is seeped in the tradition of American folk and blues guitar.
Sam is new to us but hugely popular.
“The sustained brilliance of his playing is really something to behold.” Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2
"There's some real swagger to this" Mark Radcliffe BBC Radio 2 Folk show“
So together they make a great trio.

“How such a complete and sensational sound can come from just two voices and two instruments is awe-inspiring.” Americana UK
"This is the best gig you've ever put on!" Jane, after we hosted Brooks and Aaron in 2024
Brooks Williams and Aaron Catlow create a fiery, fearless sound of Americana, folk and country blues.
Their musical chemistry is a spark that sets the stage ablaze with a spontaneous high-energy. There literally is no one performing today creating this kind of acoustic music.
We are so excited to be able to host them again. They were sensational in 2024
