EPIC Addendum Procedure

***YOU HAVE 30 DAYS TO RE-ENTER A PATIENT'S CHART. HOWEVER, PLEASE DON'T ADD ANY INFORMATION AFTER 7 DAYS OR AFTER YOU'VE COMPLETED AN ESTIGRAM***********

1. You will still receive emails in your regular email inbox as you do now.

2. Go into EPIC and look up the patient. Click on 'ED Chart' in the EPIC tooblar. OR, This can be done by clicking on the 'Epic' Button on the top left. Then click 'Patient Care', and then 'Patient Chart.'

3. Once you are in a patient's chart, add a Progress Note.

4. For each particular deficiency you may either free text OR use SmartTexts.

For ROS: type '.ros' - A SmartBlock will open for you to fill out.

For PE: type '.pe' - A SmartBlock will open.

For Physician discussion: '.edphys'

For Resident supervision: '.res'

After entering the note, email MAS and cc Esti. The same process as now.
